I'm a writer living with my two kids, ages seven and ten, in a one-bedroom cottage in a tiny seaside village in British Columbia. My first novel, Grace River, came out last April with Brindle and Glass Publishing.
What I'm interested in is this: Can the perfect balance between being a mother and a writer ever be achieved? Is it possible to divide your attention fairly between the two, or will one always end up feeling like a favoured sibling while the other feels like a neglected houseplant? (More on dead plants later...)
